YIN YOGA.
YIN YOGA – is a slow-paced style of yoga – a gentle practice that usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. Energetically, Yin yoga improves the energy flow, enhancing the flow of chi in the organs. To be healthy, we need healthy organs as well as healthy muscles.
Yin yoga targets the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body – rather than the muscles (which are the physical focus of Yang yoga practices).
HI, I'M ANINE.
I'm a Yoga and Meditation Teacher based in Zurich. Having discovered the physical Yoga practice over 10 years ago, without knowing what impact that holistic yoga practice would have on my physical and mental wellbeing.
It was only when I was given the unique opportunity to work at the Green Peace Inn Yoga Retreat in Sri Lanka for a few months where I was able to fully understand Yoga as a holistic approach for one's health and wellbeing. Means not only physical yoga practice, but much more the way of living – in all its aspects. In Sri Lanka I completed the Yin Yoga training led by the inspiring Jessyca Eve.
And so one thing led to another and I started my 10 month meditation teacher training with Michael King as my coach. I could not have imagined a better person. Thank you for guiding and sharing.
And finally, after 2 years of waiting (due to the pandemic), I completed the 200 hours of Synergy Yoga Teacher Training with Stefan Camilleri where the whole journey started - in Sri Lanka.
I am immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to experience this empowering journey of mindfulness and personal growth alongside these humans. My journey continues with curiosity and a thirst to get a deeper understanding of Yoga and its diversity.
I strongly believe that Yoga is the most universal and powerful practice that we all have access to change our minds and live healthier, happier lives. My goal is to bring you one step further to a more mindful, balanced and joyful life by understanding new elements of yourself.
